Welcome to Scenic Tennessee

Since 1988, Scenic Tennessee has been the only organization in the state devoted entirely to issues of scenic beauty. From billboard control to litter reduction to historic preservation to scenic highway designation, we work to keep Tennessee looking its best, not only for those of us who live here, but for the hundreds of thousands of annual visitors who help keep our economy vibrant.

Although we care deeply about our natural surroundings, we are more than just an environmental organization. Our members range from architects to foresters to city planners to government regulators to farmers to teachers to tourism professionals.

We are brought together by the conviction that scenic beauty and a thriving economy go hand-in-hand; that Tennessee’s natural resources are just as important as its cultural, industrial and human resources; and that in subtle and obvious ways, the scenic character of our state reflects and contributes to the pride, productivity and health of its citizens.
